Beaches and theme parks bring a lot of money to the state of Florida. But tourism isn’t all sunburns and mouse ears. Wakulla County is cashing in on a growing industry in our state: ecotourism.

The thing about visiting wild places is that they are, in fact, wild. So you have to go prepared. Kent Wimmer of the Florida Trail Association tells us what to bring when you go hiking.

Things get wet, and we look the cool wild things you’ll see while kayaking the Forgotten Coast. We look at the Forgotten Coast segment of the Florida Circumnavigational Saltwater Paddling Trail.

Stretching from the tip of Cape San Blas to the eastern end of St. George Island, the Forgotten Coast segment of the Florida Circumnavigational Trail passes by large stretches of pristine coastal habitat.
