In this episode, Daniel talks to David MacManus, who works on arboreal practices and care with the Florida State University (FSU) grounds department, about FSU’s landscaping practices. How does a university incorporate trees into its campus environment? How do college students interact with the trees and other plant life around them? How are FSU’s trees planted and maintained?
The Guest: David MacManus is the Assistant Manager of Grounds and Landscaping at Florida State University. He is a certified arborist (he calls himself a “certified tree hugger”) and, in addition to his grounds and landscaping work, has experience selling and growing trees.
New episodes of Tallahassee Tree Talks will drop on Wednesdays (October 16 through December 4), on Apple, Spotify, Pandora, and YouTube Music!
