North Florida is full of trails big and small. The Florida National Scenic Trail has several highlights in our area, from the Aucilla River Sinks to the Cathedral of Palms in the St. Marks National Wildlife Refuge (pictured above). With a wealth of managed wild places, the WFSU area offers a variety of trails through different terrain- on the coast, along rivers, or even bluffs and ravines (such as in Torreya State Park or, the Apalachicola Bluffs and Ravines’ Garden of Eden Trail). This may be the best hiking in the state of Florida.
