Super Why Summer Reading Camp at Bond Elementary School

Baking an -ake Cake!

Baking an -ake Cake!

Rising Kindergarten students at Bond Elementary School share their newly baked -ake cakes from Week 2 of their Super Why Summer Reading Camp. Each week of the camp, future Super Readers focus on 10 letters of the alphabet, a word family (like -all or -ake) and reading passages from a folk, fairy or mythological storybook. This week’s story is an adaptation of Hansel and Gretel. You probably never knew that the witch was so mean to the children because she didn’t know how to eat healthy foods!
