American Graduate Town Hall

WFSU's Tom Flanigan moderated as educators, legislators, community leaders and students gathered to discuss alternate pathways to a high school education.  There is no one-size-fits-all approach to a student's education.  Career academies promote job readiness; mentors can help guide students.  There are many approaches but the goal is the same: to put students on the path to a successful life.  And it all starts with a high school diploma.

Honored guests included: Senator Bill Montford, Florida Career and Adult Education Chancellor Rod Duckworth, Leon County Schools Superintendent Jackie Pons, Gadsden County Superintendent Reginald James, Wakulla County Superintendent Bobby Pearce, and Big Brothers and Big Sisters of the Big Bend CEO Louis Garcia.
