Nashayshi is a student at the Success Academy. She has been adopted twice. The first family was not a good fit and she missed a lot of school. Her second family supports her and her education goals. Her experiences have made her realize that she is strong and can overcome tremendous obstacles.
Cooper attends Florida High and is really interested is developing leadership skills through military service. Cooper reecently applied to the Coast Guard Academy, both his father and grandfather were in the Coast Guard. He appreciates his parents continuing guidance and support, and connecting him to programs such as Youth Leadership Tallahassee and Boys State.
Kelsey is a senior at Florida High and has an interest in television production. She feels it is important to seek out internships and participate in community service projects. She attributes her drive to her mom and is excited about college.
Sam has grown up in foster care living all over the state. He currently lives in a group home and attends Success Academy. If it wasn't for foster care, he isn't sure what would have happened to him. FSU quarterback, Jameis Winston is his role model. He know if he wants to succeed, he will have to work hard like Jameis.
Deanne is a senior at Florida High. As a senior she knows the real world is right around the corner. She has worked hard and is excited about the future and hoping that the University of Miami will be where she heads to next. Time management skills are critical as she balances academics, athletics, and a part time job.
