Tyanna is a single parent of her one year old son The parenting classes that she takes through Leon County schools are very important place where she can share her challenges with other moms. She is determined to continue her education and to to college.
Nija Jones is in the 10th grade at Godby High School. She works hard to stay focused and pushes herself to do well. She doesn't like C's! Her advice: high school is a big ball of emotions so surround yourself with the right people.
Jalen started out at Chiles but his mother pulled him out and put him at Success Academy when his grades started to drop. He wasn't happy about it at first, but the Success Academy has helped him refocus and get his grades back on the honor roll. He will return to Chiles for his senior year.
Tamera is a student athlete at Godby High School with a challenging course load that she works hard to stay on top of. She is in an AVID program that helps support her college goals. She is also participating in the PBS program Roadtrip Nation.
Shannon started out at Lincoln and she describes herself as a "wild child." She wanted to make her mom proud of her and PACE has helped her get her grades up. She wants to be a pediatric nurse. Her future keeps her motivated.
